Thomson Holidays approached Umbrella with an idea for a sales promotion that would tie in with the hype around the upcoming 2006 England World Cup. The evolving campaign was a conditional offer that involved those Consumers visiting Thomson travel agent shops during the promotional period to be given a promotional England football supporters flag. If England went on to win the 2006 Football World Cup, consumers were invited to visit a Thomson shop with their flag and original booking form in order to claim €20. Thomson needed advice around the odds of this happening and the potential impact on their budget should England win. We were then able to provide insurance on the campaign, meaning Thomson Holidays could relax back and enjoy the game!
