Virgin Mobile offered all consumers who signed up to a 24 month contract for the Nokia 6131 a free return flight on Virgin Blue. Consumers replied to a text message sent to their new phone and requested a claim form and detailed their preferred dates to fly. Their flights were then booked and a confirmation was sent to them via post. Umbrella provided a fixed fee to cover the flight costs and handling of the offer. The fixed fee was vastly less than the total liability.
