Our History

Umbrella was established in 2003 to fill a gap in the market, by offering clients a risk consultancy that enabled them to manage their own risk efficiently and knowledgeably.

There were a number of risk management companies operating in the sector at the time, but Umbrella was confident that it's purpose and approach would stand out above the crowd.   

The stated objective of Umbrella is to pass on as much knowledge to clients as possible, so that they have a better understanding of their own risk, and are therefore better equipped to work alongside us in finding the most cost effective solutions.

Understanding a brand, the market it operates in and the risks associated with it, is a long-term investment for both the client and Umbrella. However it is through the development of these relationships with clients such as Unilever, Diageo and United Biscuits, where we feel that we have been able to provide the greatest benefit.
